GameSkinny, an online publication dedicated to providing readers with valuable and unique gaming news, reviews, guides, and culture, is looking for freelance writers to join our growing team. This 100% remote position is open to both U.S. and international candidates and pays on a 5-tier per-article basis.
The ideal candidate has an insatiable appetite for all things gaming, keeping up with current trends and the latest developments within the industry. A background in writing game guides, reviews, news, and lists is preferred, and you should be comfortable working on a wide range of topics.
Writers should be proactive self-starters, familiar with researching and pitching content ideas while adhering to tight deadlines in a fast-paced online environment. You will work closely with our editorial staff to develop stories through pitching and assignment that drive traffic and engage our global audience.
Though not required, understanding of current SEO best practices and experience with Google Trends is a plus. All applicants should have a strong grasp of written English.

GameSkinny uses a 5-tier per-article payment system that ranges from $11 to $60 depending on the story type and amount of work required. There is no quota, and there is no ceiling to the number of stories you can write each month.
