We Got This Covered is a global digital entertainment brand that covers a multitude of pop culture topics for up to 10+ million monthly readers. We’re currently seeking freelance writers to bolster our Network Dramas coverage. This is a fully remote and freelance position.
This is a great opportunity to flex your writing skills across breaking entertainment news, guides, and listicles across the procedurals you love (and some you'll come to love). Applicants should be motivated self-starters with an attention to detail. We’re a global, digital news room filled with passionate and dedicated team members.
Shows we’re interested in covering, but are not limited to:
- Grey’s Anatomy
- Station 19
- Law & Order
- NCIS
- 911
- FBI
- The Rookie
Bonus points for:
- Soap Operas: General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless
Responsibilities:
- Help cover TV related topics through an in-depth understanding of mainstream network dramas
- Must be a self-starter who can confidently pitch trending ideas
- Submit clean copy with minimal edits
- Meet deadlines for publishing stories
- Follow trending topics through Google Trends and Twitter
- Write a minimum of 20 stories per month
Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of editorial/journalistic experience, specifically focused on entertainment
- Fluency in English and excellent writing skills
- Knowledge of SEO practices, WordPress, and Trello
Compensation ranges from $16-90 per article depending on word count. Rates may vary, depending on location, for international candidates.
